Struggles are real, but so is hope

From both sides of the couch…

My healing journey began in my early twenties when I started to experience panic attacks and debilitating depression. As a student athletic and NCAA springboard diver, I struggled with self-doubt, perfectionism, poor coping, and a ruthless inner critic. It all came to a head when I was faced with the challenge of navigating tremendous grief and loss. At this time, I started my path to mental wellness and began therapy. I learned about mental health, the power of psychotherapy, and the benefits of mindfulness practices (yoga, breath work, meditation).

Eager to continue to learn and grow, I enrolled in graduate school where I spent the next few years deepening my interest in the human experience. I was particularly drawn to the topic of life satisfaction and the factors that contribute to mental wellness.

I am deeply humbled by my clients’ willingness to invite me alongside their own journey to meaningful connection, self-discovery and growth. As each year passes, it becomes more clear to me that those early years of sitting on that side of the couch allows me to occupy this side of the couch in a way no textbook, professor, or course ever could.

A holistic approach

Rather than focusing on a narrow problem, I strive to consider mental, physical, and spiritual factors that influence your well-being and seek to help you heal and thrive on a deeper level.

We will work together to foster a greater sense of self-awareness to better understand the connections between your body, mind, and relationships and how these elements play a role in your mental health.
