My approach is integrative, and looks at a variety of factors influencing your mental health (i.e. quality of relationships, trauma, current life stressors, etc,). A large part of my practice includes a focus on building mindfulness techniques to help you feel more grounded and capable of managing emotional distress. I use the following therapeutic modalities in my practice.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
Emotion Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) and Gottman Method Couples Therapy
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)- Great option for PTSD, history of trauma and/or anxiety
Interpersonal Psychotherapy- The focus is usually on one of these areas: grief process, role dispute, role transition, interpersonal deficits
